Why Easter Is Important.

I have been thinking a lot about Easter lately because everyone in the office is talking about it. What is it about Easter that makes an office full of people talk about it for a month before it even happens? It's not about an Easter bunny, but about a man who died, was burred and then came back to life! Easter is about Hope. It is about God who has no limitations (even death). If you think about it, every religion tries to offer hope in some way. Most religions it is through a person that you find hope, or yourself. In my understanding, every religion that tells you to find hope in a person, that person is dead! But not Jesus. He defeated death, beat death into submission and is not controlled by something that everyone would say has the final word. Death does not have the final word, but Jesus does. My hope is in Jesus who 2,000+ years ago walked out of a grave and ascended into heaven and is sitting right next to His Father. His father is full of Love (1 John 4:8). His father is compassionate (Isaiah 49:13) and full of mercy (Deuteronomy 4:31).

It is something that was talked about then and now and will forever be talked about because of the Glory of God. If you want to know more about the true story of Easter, get to a church and hear the Good News.
