Yesterday at our church, there was a conference called Unleash. I want to first say that it was one of the most well put on conferences from any local church that I have ever been to. The volunteers at the church were awesome and last I heard, there were 729 volunteers from the church that were helping (most of them taking the day off of work... Thursday conference). Every detail was though about and each guest felt so welcome as they were there. The conference also only cost $39! I love it when churches are NOT cheep! I was thinking yesterday, what if Jesus was cheep and only did the bare minimum to try to save us. Many churches "love" their guests with their left-overs and the guests see it! Not at NewSpring! I have only been at the church now 2 weeks, and they strive for excellence in everything! EVERYTHING! You go into the bathroom and there is mouthwash and mints!!! I don't really know why you need a mint in the bathroom... guys, not the greatest place to kiss a girl for the first time! I though that the breakout sessions were top notch and finding out where you needed to go was so easy. The teaching was amazing and pastor perry did an awesome job. One of the things that really captured my heart was at the very end when leaders prayed with their pastor. You could feel the unity! It was awesome! My pastor now is perry, and I totally trust his leadership because he points everything to JESUS. It is not about how great of a church "they" built with their leadership or personality, they just said yes to God with the "PERHAPS" and God blessed.... more about this later. Pastor Perry, if for some reason you read this, my wife and I have only been here 2 weeks, but we got your back and are ready to charge hell with a squirt gun with you. So proud of what God is doing in our church and thankful for my pastor and his wife.

Joel........that was one of many things that impressed Kim and I so much about NS. How they do everything "First Class". I believe that Perry is the next Billy Graham. He has such passion for peep's to getting to know Jesus. It's not about stained glass windows and steeples. The passion you see there is for the lost and lonely. Married/single/young and old.
