What Prayer Has Done "Practically" For ME
I wanted to share what prayer has done for me this past week. I cannot even begin to express the stress that I have experienced as a husband watching my wife struggle with this heart issue. If I would paint a picture, it would be like there is a 50 lb. bag of sand sitting on my shoulder caused by the tension of this burden. Then I keep getting messages and have conversations with friends who say that they are praying for Amy and me. I counted the other day and there are at least 500 people that are praying for my amazing wife to be healed. Here is what happened for me during this time. With the realization that people are praying, the weight of burden has lifted from my shoulder and is being lifted through intercession to our God who can make a difference. The burden is lifted when people KNOW that you are praying. I am seeing the blessing of telling people that I am praying for them rather than them just making an assumption that I am praying. Part of the blessing I am starting to see is when the person knows that they are not going through it alone. The enemy wants us to feel like we are alone and no one cares. So, whoever you are praying for, tell them today. Just telling them could bless them more than you know, it has for me!

That is interesting. So, essentially, you would get the same effect if someone told you they prayed for you even if they didn't actually pray?
BTW, I don't mean to make light of the struggle you and Amy are going through right now; I'm sure it is very difficult. We are so lucky that modern medicine has come as far as it has. The prognosis just two generations ago would have been quite different.
Jimmy J... who are you? email me
Can't I just be Jimmy J?
