A thought I had before I went to bed last night

I was thinking and talking to Amy before we fell asleep about if a person really thinks that they matter to God. I mean, with billions of people are on the planet, why would I matter? Here was our conversation.... I think that people assume that God created an assembly line of creating people. That God just thought, bam... Joel Tippitt. Then he thought... Bam... Amy Tippitt. But what if in God's soverignity and His ability to live out side of "time and space" chose to spend 5,000,000 years to just design YOU! Again, thinking that He does not opperate in our time understanding. If I thought that God spent that much time in creating me, I think that would help me understand my significance! To think that when God created Joel Tippitt, that He had a specific purpose for my life that no one else could accomplish but me.

This thought really helped me with believing deeper the scripture Jerimiah 29:11 God speaking, "For I know the plans that I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you a hope and a future."

God has a plan for your life! You are not insignificant to Him in his desired plan. Let this be an encouragment to you, YOU ARE SPECIAL. There is no one like you and never will be one life you. God has great plans for your life!!! Read Eph. 3:20 and with this thought, try to wrap your mind around that!

Love this thought Joel! I think by knowing God for most of my life I take for granted his love for me. There are people in today's world that honestly don't know how special they are to God! Between you me and some other cool peeps I hope to let them know!

I think that is a very comforting thought that God has a plan for us.

Can you help me understand how the word "plan" fits into God's timelessness? God knows everything that we will do in our lifetime. He knows all of this before we are even born. Can we change any of that based on our own desires and our own freewill? Doesn't that imply that we can only do what God already knows we will do and that our sense of freewill is just an illusion? And another thought, if God plans our life, then doesn't that mean he planned that bad parts, too?
