Who gets the credit?

I have been thinking a lot this morning about when God asks you to do something that seems crazy and almost impossible to do what our response is. Many Christians tend to say "No" to God on the hard things He asks, but on the smaller things that it would not be a huge stretch for us, we might say "ya, I'll try it God". The things we say yes to are usually things that we can "do" on our own and easily take the credit for. Let me ask you something, when was the last time that you said YES to something that God was asking you to do? You know, the one of those things that you are saying in the back of your mind, I don't understand this or I don't know how this will ever happen... When was the last time that only God could get the credit for something in your life?

When God spoke to me through a Twitter photo (the one on this post) on July 28th this past year, it truly made no since to me what He was asking me to do! Really, it would have been very easy to say "No God, I don't ever see how that is possible" and move on in your life. Well, we said yes; yes to something we had no answers to and truly looked crazy to us. In moments of freaking out (and we have had many), we allowed ourselves to remember this is God's call and we can trust Him to make it happen. We need to do a lot of hard work, but the results are so FAR BEYOND US that only through trusting God will this be possible.
-When we got the call, we needed to leave 2 well paying jobs and go somewhere where we had no job security. God since then has provided about 90 % of our financial needs and money is still coming in!
-He had no idea how we were going to pay for an apartment when we got back to Anderson, SC but God gave us a house to live in rent free and we meet some AMAZING people though it. We can't wait for God to provide Amy with a Job so we can give to this family!!!
-We had fears about our transitioning out of our church (SRNC) but remembered that if God was calling us somewhere else, He had something for Santa Rosa... I cannot wait to see what God is going to do! It is going to be awesome!!
- And the list goes on and on of things that only GOD could have done. Joel and Amy Tippitt could not have done the things that we have seen these past 6 months. We are waling in faith and Jesus gets the credit for ALL the results. We do not want to live any other way!

So what is the last thing that you remember that God was prompting you to do? Does the Word of God (Bible) back up what He was prompting/speaking for you to do? If know of something, say Yes! Walk in faith so that HE can get the credit for something in your life. He wants to show you HIS power, but you need to say yes to the things He is calling you to. God is capable of doing ANYTHING! Remember, He created the Heavens and the earth! He even created you! So whatever He is calling you to, HE CAN DO IT! Allow Him to get credit for something HUGE in your life by saying YES to His call. It's all about His Glory!!
