"Prayer has a cumulative effect"

In staff meeting today, it was like a ton of Revelation to me and insight into scripture! Serriously, it was like everyone was annointed by God to say something today that God was going to speak powerfully into my life...

Revelation 8:3-5

"Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all the saints, on the golden altar before the throne. The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of the saints, went up before God from the angel's hand. Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and hurled it on the earth; and there came peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightning and an earthquake."

When we pray, it has a cumulative effect. I used to wonder why I prayed and prayed and it looked as if nothing was happening... Something was though and things that we pray for years, not the prayers where we ramble on, but the prayers that are continuous are as the text says rising like incense before God. Those jars of prayers eventually fill up and overflow!

So keep praying. When it looks like nothing is happening, there is. It will have a cumulative effect. We were talking about how the prayers of all the saints before us in the "Strickland" years are being seen and felt today. So, who is praying the prayers to prepare to future? Our prayers are laying a foundation for future generations and as soon as "I" wake up and realize that, I can be a HISTORY MAKER!
